Colby Jolley dies in Terry Co. motorcycle crash on TX-137
BROWNFIELD, TX – A 44-year-old motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries Thursday in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in central Terry County, reports KCBD 11.
The incident occurred shortly after 7 a.m. along TX-137 near the intersection with Dawson Street on the southwestern side of Brownfield. This is about 40 miles southwest of Lubbock.
Police say that a northbound motorcycle collided with a southbound Chevrolet Silverado when the motorcyclist turned left in front of the pickup truck.
The biker, identified as Colby Grant Jolley of Welch, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the wreck.
No other injuries have been reported in connection to the accident.
It’s unclear if Jolley was wearing a safety helmet at the time of the crash.
