John Carrizales, 51, claimed in motorcycle crash on S IH 35

AUSTIN, TX – A 51-year-old man died over the weekend in a crash involving two motorcycles along the interstate in South Austin, reports Fox 7 Austin.

The accident happened shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday on the northbound side of I-35 between Old San Antonio Road and Farrah Lane, which is just east of Akins High School.

Police aren’t sure what caused the collision, but they say it involved two motorcycles.

One of the motorcyclists, identified as 51-year-old John Carrizales, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the wreck. It’s unknown if he was wearing a safety helmet at the time of the accident.

The second motorcyclist avoided injuries.

Drivers likely encountered delays along the interstate in the area of the crash while crews worked at the scene.
