William Heyen killed in collision on SW Pkwy at Lake Park Dr

WICHITA FALLS, TX – A man died Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle accident along a major roadway in southeast Wichita County, reports Texoma’s homepage.

The crash occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Lake Park Drive on the south side of Wichita Falls. This is about 115 miles northwest of Fort Worth.

Police say that an eastbound motorcyclist collided with an SUV when the latter vehicle entered his path from Lake Park Drive.

The motorcycle operator, identified as William Heyen, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the wreck.

Medics transported the driver of the SUV to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.

Motorists likely faced delays along Southwest Parkway Sunday afternoon while emergency teams worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
