8-year-old Sirayjah Parson struck, killed in Dallas crash
DALLAS, TX – A motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries in a major crash that also killed one child and injured another Saturday in south-central Dallas, reports Fox 4 KDFW.
The fatal motorcycle accident occurred around 6 p.m. near the Lancaster Kiest Shopping Center in the area of South 3200 Lancaster Road. This is near East Kiest Boulevard.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a motorcycle operator lost control of his bike and struck two children, killing one and hurting the other.
Authorities identified the deceased child as 8-year-old Sirayjah Parson.
Medics transported the second child to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
The motorcyclist, since identified as 33-year-old Kevin Eugene Waggoner, also died at the scene of the collision.
Motorists likely faced delays in the area of the accident while emergency crews worked the scene.
A full investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the collision.
