Charlotte Stegall claimed in solo rollover crash near Houston

CYPRESS, TX – A woman died Saturday afternoon when her vehicle crashed through several backyard fences in the northwest suburbs of Houston, reports abc News 13.

The fatal collision occurred sometime after 3 p.m. in the area of Cypress North Houston Road between South Kolbe Drive and Huffmeister Road in Cypress. This is just 20 minutes or so from Houston.

Police say that for unknown reasons, Charlotte Yvette Stegall lost control of her Mercedes G-Wagon SUV, left the roadway, and struck several backyard fences in a residential neighborhood. The SUV also hit a power box and a gas grill before rolling and coming to rest in a backyard.

Stegall died at the scene after being entrapped in the SUV for an unknown period of time.

Nobody else sustained injuries in the accident, but several residents did lose power as a result of damage to the power box. Additionally, the impact with the gas grill initiated a minor fire.

A full investigation is underway. Our team of news bloggers will post updates just as soon as we learn more about the circumstances of the accident.
