T-bone crash in Jim Wells County claims Lindsey Webster, 24
JIM WELLS CO., TX – A 24-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries Wednesday in a two-vehicle collision involving an 18-wheeler in central Jim Wells County, reports KRIS 6 News.
The accident occurred around 1 a.m. between the cities of Alice and Amargosa at the intersection of FM 2044 and US 281. This is about 50 miles west of Corpus Christi.
Police say that a semi-truck and a Kia Sorrento were involved in a T-bone collision when the driver of the Kia neglected to stop at the stop sign.
The driver of the Kia, identified as Lindsey Webster of Alice, died at the scene of the crash.
It’s unclear if the truck driver sustained injuries in the wreck.
Drivers likely encountered delays in the area of the accident while emergency crews worked at the scene.
