Killeen Fire Captain Marvin Taylor killed in Austin collision
AUSTIN, TX – Authorities have arrested a 34-year-old man in connection to a two-vehicle crash on Sunday that killed a Killeen Fire Captain in Austin, reports KCENTV 6.
The rear-end collision occurred shortly after 1 a.m. along East Koenig Lane between Duval Street and Airport Boulevard. This is just west of I-35 and north of Leif Johnson Ford Austin.
Police say that Captain Marvin Taylor was leaving an Austin hospital after the birth of his fifth child when another vehicle rear-ended his car on Koenig Lane.
Taylor succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.
No other injuries were reported in connection to the accident.
Officials say that Rodney Bremby was speeding when he struck Taylor’s vehicle. Police arrested Bremby Tuesday on a charge of intoxication manslaughter.
A full investigation is underway.
