Hit-and-run on N Central Expy in Richardson kills Cody Morris, 27

RICHARDSON, TX – A 27-year-old motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries Saturday when a vehicle struck her along the expressway in northeast Richardson.

According to CBS News, the accident occurred shortly before 5 a.m. on the northbound side of US-75 between North Glenville Drive and East Lookout Drive, which is just west of Galatyn Woodland Preserve.

Police say that 25-year-old Kelvin Joseph Jr., who has since been identified as a former cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, was driving a BMW northbound when he collided with a motorcycle. Joseph Jr. fled the scene but later contacted Plano Police to confess his involvement in the accident.

The motorcyclist, identified as Cody Morris of Plano, died at the scene of the crash.

Authorities arrested Kelvin Joseph Jr. on charges that include DUI and collision involving death.
