Aaron Colston, 38, killed in single-vehicle crash on CR 3601

CHEROKEE CO., TX – A 38-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Wednesday in a single-vehicle collision caused by a drunk driver in northwest Cherokee County, reports CBS 19.

The crash happened around 8:15 p.m. along County Road 3601, which runs northwest to southeast between FM 346 North and County Road 855 near Bullard. This is about 115 miles southeast of Dallas.

Police say that 30-year-old Cordale Graham was intoxicated when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed. His passenger, identified as Aaron Colston, died at the scene of the accident.

Graham did not sustain injuries in the collision and claimed not to have been driving when the crash occurred.

Authorities arrested Graham on charges that include intoxication manslaughter and possession of marijuana.

Motorists likely encountered delays along Country Road 3601 Wednesday night while emergency teams worked at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
