Wrong way-driver, Martin Trejo, claimed Bexar Co. collision

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 27-year-old man died, and a woman sustained injuries Monday in a head-on crash along Old Historic Highway 90 in San Antonio.

According to Fox SA, the accident happened around 2 a.m. near the intersection with South Callaghan Road, which is north of US-90 and the Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a southbound pickup truck entered the northbound side of the roadway and collided head-on with another vehicle.

The wrong-way driver, identified as Martin Trejo, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.

Medics transported a female passenger from Trejo’s vehicle to an area hospital with serious injuries.

It’s unclear if the other driver sustained injuries in the collision, but officials say they were arrested for DUI.

A full investigation is underway.
