Michael Schall, 40, killed in Hudspeth Co. pedestrian crash

HUDSPETH CO., TX – A 40-year-old man died Monday when a vehicle struck him along the interstate in west-central Hudspeth County, reports KFOX 14.

Shortly before 5 a.m., authorities responded to the westbound side of I-10 near mile marker 66. This is just southeast of El Paso in the Acala area.

Police say that Michael Joseph Schall from Florida was lying in the roadway when a westbound 2013 Nissan Versa hit him.

Schall succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the Nissan, identified as Dennis J. Dawson of California, stopped to render aid and speak with police. Dawson did not sustain injuries in the crash.
