Vehicle strikes, kills Cecelio Cabral on Spur 482 in Irving

IRVING, TX – A 58-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Tuesday morning when a car hit him on the northeast side of Irving, reports WFAA News 8.

The auto-pedestrian crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. on the northbound side of Spur 482 past TX-114. This is just southeast of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and west of Dallas Love Field.

Police haven’t yet indicated if the victim was walking in the roadway or along the shoulder of Spur 482 when the vehicle struck him.

The pedestrian, identified as Cecelio Cabral, died at the scene.

Officials haven’t shared any details about the driver involved in the collision, nor have any charges been filed at this time.

Authorities closed the northbound lanes of Spur 482 in the area of the crash while crews worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
