Ricky Riojas, 20, killed in hit-and-run on FM 1788 at SE 8000
ANDREWS CO., TX – A two-vehicle collision claimed the life of a 20-year-old motorcyclist last week in southeast Andrews County, reports First Alert 7.
The accident occurred on Thursday at the intersection of FM 1788, or Telephone Road, and SE 8000. This is southeast of Andrews and northwest of Midland.
Police say that a southbound 2014 Harley–Davidson Street Glide struck the trailer on a truck when the driver of the latter southbound vehicle failed to honor right of way while turning left onto SE 8000.
The biker, identified as Ricky Scott Riojas of Seminole, died after transport to a Midland Hospital.
The driver of the truck did not stop to render aid and to speak with police. At this time, authorities have not identified a potential suspect, nor have they released a description of the hit-and-run vehicle.
