Two-car crash at Windsor and Northway kills Rossana Cacal

DENTON, TX – A woman died, and a man was arrested following a two-vehicle collision that happened Friday in northwest Denton, reports Fox 4 KDFW.

Around 10 p.m., crews responded to a major accident at the intersection of West Windsor Drive and Northway in the Windsor Ridge Estates neighborhood.

Police say that an eastbound car struck the passenger side of a westbound car when the driver of the latter vehicle failed to honor right of way while turning left onto Northway.

A passenger in the westbound vehicle, identified as 58-year-old Rossana Cacal, succumbed to her injuries soon after transport to an area hospital. Officials say that Cacal was a well-regarded chef at The Chestnut Tree restaurant in Denton.

Medics transported both drivers to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

Authorities arrested the driver of the westbound vehicle, identified as 22-year-old Noah Kendrick, on charges that include intoxication manslaughter and aggravated assault with a vehicle.
