Dodge Caliber hits, kills Jeanette Espita on SE Military Dr
SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 34-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries last Thursday night in an auto-pedestrian crash on the southeast side of San Antonio, reports KSAT 12.
The accident occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. at Southeast Military Drive and Old Corpus Christi Highway, which is just east of Espada Park and the San Antonio River and south of the Hot Wells neighborhood.
Police say the woman was attempting to cross Southeast Military Drive when an eastbound Dodge Caliber hit her. It’s not yet clear whether the driver or pedestrian had the right of way at the time of the crash.
The pedestrian, identified as Jeanette Espita, succumbed to her injuries.
The driver involved in the collision stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.
No charges have been filed thus far.
A full investigation is underway.
