Christopher Herrera dies 3 weeks after crash on I-20
ARLINGTON, TX – A 28-year-old man died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a motorcycle collision earlier this month in southwest Arlington, reports Fox 4 KDFW.
The multi-vehicle accident occurred the morning of Tuesday, August 5th, on the eastbound side of I-20 near Park Springs Boulevard, which is just north of Gene Schrickel Jr. Park.
Police say that the eastbound motorcyclist was speeding when he made an abrupt lane change and collided with two other vehicles. The impact of the crash ejected the biker, who was transported to Medical City Arlington.
The motorcyclist, identified as Christopher Andrew Herrera, succumbed to his injures in the hospital three weeks later.
The other two drivers did not sustain injuries in the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
