Conroe PD IDs Santiago Bettini as victim in motorcycle crash

CONROE, TX – A 20-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Thursday afternoon in a motorcycle collision along the freeway in Conroe, reports Fox 26 Houston.

The two-vehicle crash occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m. on the northbound side of the North Freeway between Hickerson Street and Mill Avenue. This is near the Kia and Nissan dealerships.

Police say that a biker was ejected when his northbound Honda motorcycle hit the rear of a Nissan Altima. According to officials, the motorcyclist was speeding and making multiple unsafe lane changes when the accident happened.

Authorities declared the motorcyclist, identified as Santiago Bettini, deceased at the scene.

No other injuries have been referenced in connection to the accident.
