Car vs. motorcycle crash in NW Austin claims Erik Billingsley
AUSTIN, TX – A 22-year-old man sustained fatal injuries over the Labor Day weekend in a two-vehicle collision that happened in northwest Austin.
According to CBS Austin, the crash occurred shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday on the southbound frontage road for US-183 at McNeil Drive, which is near HEB and the Tesla dealership.
Police haven’t disclosed the cause of the accident, which they say involved a car and a motorcycle.
The driver of the car, identified as Erik Tobias Billingsley, died after transport to an area hospital.
The motorcycle operator stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities. Impairment is not suspected at this time.
No other injuries have been cited in connection to the collision.
Drivers likely faced delays along the southbound service road in the area of the crash while emergency teams worked at the scene.
