Motorcycle strikes pickup on US-287, killing Arron Roland
POTTER CO., TX – A 44-year-old Amarillo man died Wednesday from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle collision along the highway in southeast Potter County.
According to KFDA 10, the accident occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m. just north of Amarillo on Highway 287, also known as US-87.
Police say that a northbound motorcycle crashed into a northbound pickup truck when the operator lost control of his bike. The impact of the collision ejected the rider, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Authorities identified the victim as Arron Roland.
The driver of the pickup truck was unhurt in the accident.
The collision likely caused delays along the highway just north of Amarillo while emergency crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
