Victim in ATV crash near CR 3703 IDed as Guillermo Garcia
ANDERSON CO., TX – A 49-year-old man died Wednesday in an ATV accident along a rural roadway in east-central Anderson County, reports CBS 19.
The crash occurred at night along An County Road 3703 near Palestine, which is about 113 miles southeast of Dallas.
Police say that an ATV carrying a man and his son lost traction and rolled, throwing both occupants into the roadway.
The man driving the ATV, identified as Guillermo Garcia, succumbed to his injuries while in transit to an area hospital.
Medics transported Garcia’s son to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
There were no other vehicles involved in the collision, and no charges have been announced thus far.
A full investigation is underway.
