Man killed in Killeen motorcycle crash IDed as Jeffrey Pogany
KILLEEN, TX – Killeen Police have identified the motorcyclist who was killed last Thursday in a two-vehicle collision along the interstate, reports KCENTV 6.
Jeffrey Pogany, 28, sustained fatal injuries when a blue 2014 Honda struck his motorcycle on the westbound side of I-14 at Trimmier Road shortly before 4:30 a.m.
Authorities say that the driver of the Honda was speeding and driving recklessly when his vehicle rear-ended Pogany’s motorcycle.
The other driver involved in the accident has not been named publicly. Police indicate that he may have been a juvenile male. The condition of the driver at the time of the accident has also not been established.
No other injuries have been referenced in connection to the crash.
Officials closed the westbound side of I-14 near the Trimmier overpass while emergency teams gathered evidence and worked at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
