Jeep, Ford impact head-on near Temple, killing Romi Bomar
CORYELL CO., TX – An 18-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries last Wednesday in a wrong-way crash along the highway in east-central Coryell County.
According to KWTX 10, the accident happened around 10:30 a.m. on TX-36 near The Grove, which is about 18 miles northwest of Temple.
Police say that an eastbound 2014 Jeep lost traction in wet weather, entered the westbound side of TX-36, and collided head on with a westbound pickup truck.
The driver of the Jeep, identified as Romi Jolee Bomar of Gatesville, died after transport to an area hospital.
Medics transported the driver of the pickup to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
