Semi crash near Waco claims Christopher, Terry Woycheshin
FALLS CO., TX – Two adults from Marlin sustained fatal injuries Tuesday in a wrong-way collision involving a semi-truck in northeast Falls County.
According to KCENTV 6, the accident happened shortly before 1 p.m. on TX-6 near County Road 105 between Perry and Riesel. This is about 16 miles southeast of Waco.
Police say that a southbound sedan entered the northbound side of TX-6 and crashed head-on into a northbound 18-wheeler. The semi rolled, and the car ignited.
Two people from the sedan, identified as 71-year-old Christopher Woycheshin and 67-year-old Terry Woycheshin, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The truck driver sustained non-critical injuries; it’s unclear if they required hospitalization.
Motorists likely experienced delays along TX-6 Tuesday afternoon while emergency teams worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
