SUV, truck collide on TX-349 at MM 376, killing Gerardo Garcia
UPTON CO., TX – A 38-year-old Midland man died Friday night in a two-vehicle collision along the highway in Upton County, reports First Alert 7.
Around 11:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to a major accident on TX-359 near mile marker 376 south of Midland.
Police say that a pickup truck and an SUV hauling a trailer collided when the driver of the latter vehicle attempted a U-turn from the shoulder of the highway.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified as Gerardo Garcia, sustained fatal injuries.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt in the accident. It’s unclear if they will face charges in connection to the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
