Juan Quiroz killed in hit-and-run on the DNT in NW Plano

PLANO, TX – A 47-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Tuesday in a rollover accident caused by an 18-wheeler in northwest Plano, reports Fox 4 KDFW.

The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. on the northbound side of the Dallas North Tollway near Spring Creek Parkway, which is just south of the Legacy neighborhood.

Police say that a semi-truck hit a Honda sedan while making an illegal lane change, causing the car to roll. The Honda was struck by two other vehicles after colliding with a concrete wall on the DNT.

Authorities declared the driver of the Honda deceased at the scene, identifying him as Juan Quiroz.

The driver of the 18-wheeler did not stop to render aid or to speak with officials. Police are actively searching for the driver at this time.

It’s unclear if anyone in the other two vehicles sustained injuries in the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
