Paul Wuersig IDed as victim in Austin auto-bike collision

AUSTIN, TX – A 41-year-old man sustained fatal injuries earlier this month in an auto-bike crash in central Austin, reports CBS Austin.

The accident happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 11th, at Guadalupe Street and Denson Drive, which is just north of Reilly Elementary School in the Highland neighborhood.

Police haven’t shared any details regarding the cause or circumstances of the collision. They say that the driver stopped to render aid and to answer questions and that he was not intoxicated.

The cyclist died the morning of Tuesday, October 21st, from head trauma injuries sustained in the accident. Authorities identified him as Paul Wuersig.

No charges have been filed so far.

A full investigation is underway.
