Ricarda Escobedo IDed as pedestrian killed in El Paso crash
EL PASO, TX – An elderly woman sustained fatal injuries late last month in an auto-pedestrian crash in central El Paso, reports KFOX 14.
The accident occurred on Friday, October 24th, at Stanton Street and 7th Avenue, which is north of TX-375 and west of Armijo Park in the Chihuahuita area.
Police say that a southbound 2024 Chevy Colorado struck 71-year-old Ricarda Meza Escobedo while making a left turn onto 7th Avenue. Escobedo was walking in a designated crosswalk with the right of way when the crash happened.
Escobedo died in the hospital on Saturday, November 1st, from injuries sustained in the collision.
It’s unclear if the driver involved in the accident will face charges.
A full investigation is underway.
