Vehicle strikes, injures pedestrian at Lake Austin and Exposition

AUSTIN, TX – One person sustained serious injuries last Wednesday in an auto-pedestrian crash in west-central Austin, reports KVUE.

The accident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. at the intersection of Lake Austin Boulevard and Exposition Boulevard, which is just south of Lions Municipal Golf Course in the Westfield area.

It’s not yet clear if the pedestrian was walking in a designated crosswalk when the collision happened.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

The driver involved in the accident stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.

No charges have been filed thus far, as the investigation continues.
