Ziyah Sawyer, 12, hurt in Dallas pedestrian crash on N Horizon
DALLAS, TX – Police are investigating an auto-pedestrian accident that injured two 12-year-old girls earlier this month on the north side of Dallas, reports WFAA News 8.
The crash occurred shortly after 7:3o a.m. on Friday, December 12th, at the intersection of Midway Road and Horizon North Parkway. This is just north of the President George Bush Turnpike and east of Oak Creek Park.
The investigation indicates that Ziyah Sawyer and her friend Elizah were crossing at the intersection on the way to school when a truck hit them.
Medics transported both girls to an area hospital with significant injuries.
Police haven’t yet shared the name of the driver involved in the collision, nor have they commented on the driver’s condition at the time of the crash.
No charges have been filed thus far.
A full investigation is underway.
