Semi rear-ends motorcycle in Abilene, killing Gregory Ragle

ABILENE, TX – A 58-year-old motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries in a Christmas Day collision along the interstate in northeast Taylor County, reports Fox.

The accident happened shortly after 7 p.m. on the eastbound side of I-20 in Abilene. Officials haven’t yet provided a cross street for the crash.

Police say that an 18-wheeler struck the rear of an motorcycle, ejecting the biker into traffic. An oncoming car then hit the victim, killing him at the scene.

Authorities identified the victim as Gregory Ragle.

The truck driver did not stop to render aid or to speak with police. He was apprehended in a neighboring county.

There’s no word yet regarding charges.
