Car strikes, kills Arianna Williams near Slaughter and Francia

AUSTIN, TX – A 35-year-old woman was fatally struck on Christmas Eve at a major intersection in far-south Austin, reports Fox 7 Austin.

Just before 8:15 p.m., emergency crews responded to an auto-pedestrian accident in the area of Slaughter Lane and Francia Trail in the Southpark Meadows area. This is just northeast of Mary More Searight Metropolitan Park.

It’s unclear if the victim was walking in a designated crosswalk when the crash occurred.

The pedestrian, identified as Arianna Williams, sustained fatal injuries.

The driver involved in the crash stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.

A full investigation is underway.
