Car strikes, seriously injures Felipe Perez near 82nd St, Elgin Ave

LUBBOCK, TX – A 28-year old man sustained serious injuries Monday when a vehicle struck him along a busy roadway in southwest Lubbock, reports KCBD 11.

The auto-pedestrian crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on 82nd Street between Elgin Avenue and Boston Avenue in the Waters neighborhood.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Felipe Perez appears not to have had right of way when he entered the roadway on foot.

Perez required hospitalization for serious injuries.

No other injuries have been reported in connection to the crash, and no charges are pending at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
