Cars collide head-on along Walzem Rd, killing Kornell Bennett

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A two-vehicle crash in northeast San Antonio claimed the life of a 38-year-old man Friday night, reports News4SA.

Shortly after 8 p.m., emergency crews responded to a fatal accident on Walzem Road near Windsor Oaks in the Windcrest area.

Police say that a Hyundai Elantra and a Toyota Camry were involved in a wrong-way collision. It’s not yet clear which driver entered the wrong side of the Walzem Road.

The driver of the Elantra, identified as Kornell Deshon Bennett, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.

Medics transported the driver of the Camry to an area hospital with serious injuries.

No charges have been filed thus far as the investigation continues.
