Mark Coleman IDed as victim in crash near 1500 Central Fwy
WICHITA FALLS, TX – A car caught fire Sunday following a fatal, single-vehicle crash along the freeway in southeast Wichita County, reports My Texas Daily.
The accident happened on the northbound side of the Central Freeway, or US-287, near Bandera Boulevard in southeast Wichita Falls.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a tire blew out on a northbound GMC Sierra pickup, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle, leave the roadway, and crash into a tree. The car then caught fire.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 54-year-old Mark Coleman, died after transport to an area hospital.
There were no other injuries associated with the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
