Pickups collide at FM 1053 and FM 1233, killing Jaime Garcia

CRANE CO., TX – An Alvin man died Friday morning in a two-vehicle collision in west-central Crane County, reports First Alert 7.

Shortly after 6:30 a.m., emergency crews were called to a major crash involving two pickup trucks at FM 1053 and FM 1233, which is northwest of Crane and about 21 miles southwest of Monahans.

Police say that a southbound Toyota crashed into a n0rthbound Ram when the driver of the latter vehicle attempted a left turn onto FM 1233.

The unrestrained driver of the southbound pickup died at the scene. Authorities identified him as 49-year-old Jaime Garcia.

The driver of the Ram did not sustain injuries in the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
