Pickups collide head-on near Kermit, killing Angel Galindo

WINKLER CO., TX – A wrong-way crash involving two pickup trucks claimed the life of a Midland man over the weekend, reports KOSA 7.

Shortly before 6:30 a.m. Saturday, emergency crews responded to a serious collision on TX-302, or East Jim Sharp Boulevard, just east of Kermit.

The initial investigation indicates that a westbound GMC Sierra entered the eastbound side of the highway and collided head-on with an eastbound Ford F-250.

The driver of the Sierra died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities identified the victim as 26-year-old Angle Galindo.

It’s unclear if the driver of the Ford required hospitalization for non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
