Car, pickup collide on FM 1151 near Claude, killing Robert McGuire

ARMSTRONG CO., TX – A 23-year-old man died last Thursday in a two-vehicle collision in northwest Armstrong County, reports News Channel 10.

Sometime in the morning, emergency crews responded to FM 1151 near County Road 5 between Claude and Amarillo.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a westbound Honda Accord entered the eastbound side of FM 1151 and collided with an eastbound GMC Sierra.

The driver of the Honda, identified as Robert McGuire, died at the scene.

Medics transported the 27-year-old driver of the Sierra to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.

Motorists likely encountered delays along FM 1151 while teams worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
