Jeep and motorcycle collide in West Oaks, killing 18-year-old

HOUSTON, TX – A two-vehicle collision claimed the life of an 18-year-old motorcyclist in Houston on Tuesday night, reports abc 13. 

Shortly before 9:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to a fatal accident at the intersection of Woodway Drive and North Post Oak Lane in the West Oaks area.

A westbound motorcyclist was likely speeding, police say, when he lost control of his bike and collided with an eastbound Jeep Cherokee that was stopped in preparation for a northbound turn.

The motorcyclist, whose name has not yet been released to the public, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the Jeep was not hurt in the collision.

A full investigation is underway.
