Juan Francisco Barreto killed in pedestrian-vehicle collision in West Dallas 

DALLAS, TX – A man’s life was claimed in a pedestrian-vehicle collision in West Dallas reported after 10 a.m. on Monday, according to WFAA

The pedestrian, later identified as Juan Francisco Barreto, had crossed the intersection of Fort Worth Avenue and Hartsdale Drive when he was struck by an eastbound black Honda. 

Barreto died from his injuries at the scene. 

Dallas Police said the Honda driver, a 20-year-old adult, remained at the scene and waited for officers and EMS to arrive. 

Police did not say if they cited the motorist or whether they could face charges.
