Adrian Marshall, another killed in Dallas head-on crash caused by alleged DUI driver
DALLAS, TX – One victim, identified as Adrian Marshall, and another person were killed in a head-on crash caused by an alleged DUI driver on Sunday, Fox7Austin said.
The collision happened around 2 a.m. off the intersection of North Jim Miller Road and Military Parkway in the Parkdale area. Preliminary details reveal that the alleged DUI driver was driving a pickup truck when he crashed head-on into a blue sedan.
The alleged DUI driver, identified as 22-year-old Isaac Chacon, had reportedly attempted to flee the scene, according to a male and female eyewitness.
The female eyewitness called 911, while the male eyewitness chased Chacon and held him until first responders arrived.
Emergency crews declared one sedan occupant — Marshall — dead at the scene, and rushed another sedan occupant to a hospital, where they later died. The second victim’s identity remains undisclosed.
Police said Chacon smelled alcohol on his breath, and Chacon claimed he only drank one beer, at a party, prior to driving and before the crash.
Chacon refused to provide a blood sample or a voluntary breath sampler, so police obtained a warrant to conduct a test. The results of that test are pending.
Chacon was booked into the Dallas County Jail on two counts of collision involving death and two counts of intoxication manslaughter.
