4 hospitalized after DART train, box truck crash in downtown Dallas

DOWNTOWN DALLAS, TX – Four people were taken to the hospital following a crash between a Dallas Area Rapid Transit train and a box truck on Wednesday.

Fox4News said the incident occurred around noon on the 2200th block of Bryan Street. Based on what we know so far, it appears the box truck overturned after colliding with the train.

The impact of the crash entrapped the box truck occupants, and they were freed thanks to the help of Good Samaritans.

EMS crews rushed four people, including two train passengers, to the emergency room for treatment of unspecified injuries.

It’s unclear whether the box truck occupants were among those who were hospitalized.

At the time of the reporting, officials told DART rail passengers to expect delays as crews worked to clean up the scene and for overall investigation purposes.

Authorities did not specify the extent of injuries sustained or state the exact cause of the crash.

We will provide updates as soon as we learn more.
