Second man arrested after McKinney crash that killed Sandra & William Lazarus 

MCKINNEY, TX – A second man was arrested in connection with a fatal crash that killed Sandra and William Lazarus on Friday, July 17, Fox4News said. 

This comes as an update in relation to our previous reporting. McKinney Police said the second person arrested was identified as Braydon Moss. The first person arrested was 51-year-old James Armont, who was charged with two counts of manslaughter. 

Moss was charged with two counts of racing on a highway resulting in injury or death, which are second-degree felonies.

Police suspect Moss and Armont were street racing each other when Armont, driving a red BMW, plowed into a silver Hyundai minivan, occupied by the Lazaruses. 

The Lazaruses, both 77, died from their injuries. Both worked at their local school district. 

Nearby neighbors told the source that they believe an additional stoplight could help reduce speeding, street racing, and future crashes. At this time, it appears the city of McKinney has not made any plans to install an additional stoplight at Custer Road and Bedford Lane, where the crash occurred.
