Hit-and-run driver kills pedestrian on I-35E

DALLAS, TX – A driver fatally struck a pedestrian in the northbound lanes of I-35E last night and then fled the scene, WFAA reports.

The fatal pedestrian accident led to a major shutdown near Laureland Road as police conducted their investigation.

They believe that a man was walking on the highway’s shoulder at about 2 a.m. when he was hit by a passing motorist. Emergency responders rushed the man to an area hospital, where he died.

Police have not released a description of the vehicle at this time. However, their investigations are ongoing. We will provide updates as they become available.
