Christiana Jami Vasquez fatally struck by SUV in Plano
PLANO, TX – A 37-year-old woman died as a result of a pedestrian-SUV crash on the Sam Rayburn Tollway on Sunday.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. Plano police told Fox4News that the 37-year-old woman, identified as Christiana Jami Vasquez, a Plano local, exited a vehicle on the highway and ran across several southbound lanes of traffic when she was struck by an SUV.
Plano fire/EMS rushed to the scene and conducted CPR on Vasquez, who unfortunately died from her injuries.
The SUV driver was uninjured and cooperated with investigators.
A full investigation is underway.
