4 hospitalized after two-vehicle crash in downtown Dallas

DOWNTOWN DALLAS, TX – Four people were sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash in downtown Dallas on Thursday, Fox4News reports. 

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and North Akard Street. Preliminary details, at least according to an eyewitness, reveal that a driver of a gray car was traveling at a high rate of speed in the left lane and crashed into another vehicle. 

The gray car spun around several times before striking a tree. 

The driver of the gray car tried to run away from the scene of the crash, but was immediately apprehended by police. 

The impact of the collision injured four people, including at least one other driver and a pedestrian, and EMS had to take four people to the hospital. 

Dallas Fire Rescue also assisted police with the scene of the crash. 

No arrests or citations have been confirmed.
