2-vehicle crash on Coit Rd in Plano kills motorcyclist

PLANO, TX – A motorcyclist died last Friday afternoon after colliding with a sedan along a busy roadway near Medical Center Plano, reports WFAA News 8.

The incident happened sometime before 4 p.m. on Coit Road between West 15th Street and West Park Boulevard. This is northwest of the University of Texas at Dallas.

Police haven’t shared any details about the accident except to say that the motorcyclist died after transport to a local hospital and that nobody in the sedan was hurt.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.

Officials encouraged motorists to avoid the area while crews worked to investigate and clear the crash site.

The investigation is ongoing.
