NEW FAIRVIEW, TX – Emergency teams responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a semi along the highway in southeast Wise County on Monday, reports DFW Scanner.

The accident happened sometime before 4:30 p.m. on US-287 near FM 407, or Illinois Street, in the city of New Fairview. This is about thirty miles north of Fort Worth.
There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the accident. Police say that a passenger vehicle and an 18-wheeler collided and that at least one person became entrapped and required extrication. It’s unclear if anyone involved in the crash went to the hospital.
Officials urged drivers to avoid this area of US-287 while the New Fairview Fire Department responded to the scene along with EMS and police.
