Male pedestrian struck, killed along W Davis St near N Gilpin Ave
DALLAS, TX – A 24-year-old man died early Saturday morning after a vehicle struck him along a busy roadway in west-central Dallas, reports WFAA News 8.
The incident occurred around 3:40 a.m. on West Davis Street between North Cockrell Hill Road and North Gilpin Avenue. This is just southwest of Westmoreland Plaza.
Police say that the victim was walking along Davis when a vehicle hit him. It’s unclear if the pedestrian was utilizing a designated crosswalk at the time of the accident.
Authorities identified the victim as Omar Nadir Luna Martinez.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash did stop to render aid and speak with officials.
There’s no news yet regarding charges, but a full investigation is underway.
