Motorcyclist killed in 2-vehicle crash on I-35 NB near Lone Oak

VALLEY VIEW, TX – A 30-year-old man died last Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash along the interstate in south-central Cooke County, reports WFAA News 8.

The incident occurred just after 9:15 p.m. on the northbound side of I-35 near East Lone Oak Road. This is west of Lake Ray Roberts and about 23 miles north of Denton.

Police say the victim was likely speeding when his motorcycle collided with the rear of a trailer.

The motorcyclist, identified as Dean Cornelius, died at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the other vehicle did not not sustain injuries in the collision.

A full investigation is underway.
