Humble man struck, killed on I-10EB near N Zaragoza Rd

EL PASO, TX – A 38-year-old Humble man sustained fatal injuries when a vehicle struck him along the interstate in southeast El Paso Sunday night, reports KFOX 14.

The accident happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. on the eastbound side of I-10 near exit 30 for North Zaragoza Road. This is just northwest of Blackie Chesher Park.

Police say the victim entered the path of a white eastbound Cadillac while attempting to walk across the interstate.

Authorities pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. They identified him as Siddharth Mukherjee.

Officials haven’t yet shared any details regarding the driver involved, but they also aren’t describing the crash as a hit-and-run incident.
